Hey there! I’m Josie—a teacher-turned-professor with a big heart for helping educators thrive. I spent nine years teaching 6th-grade science (yes, I am a crazy middle school loving teacher). Now, I’m a professor at Illinois State University, where I get to mentor the next generation of elementary and middle school teachers—aka future classroom rockstars!

Whether it's through engaging science experiments or creative lesson plans, I'm all about bringing energy and excitement to education. I love connecting with fellow educators and learning from each other's experiences.

I believe that teaching is our career, not our entire life! I want to remind teachers that they have a life outside of the classroom!

Outside of the classroom I love traveling, working out, and having a fun little drink at all times. My goal is to build a supportive community where teachers can share ideas, celebrate successes, and tackle challenges together.
